American-born Mark Robinow presented 120 works by 28 artists in a special location in the east of Munich. The highlight: not only art was given a big stage - design, cars, property and luxury consumer goods are also part of the innovative concept. Over 160 invited guests attended the opening event.

With Ars Gratia Artis, Mark Robinow is presenting a unique art project in Munich with over 120 works by 28 artists and has specifically curated an exhibition that appeals to and brings together different generations of art lovers, gallery owners, collectors and artists. His concept also includes bringing on board manufacturers with an affinity for art and design, service providers, automotive brands, banks and insurance companies.

“What is unique about the Ars Gratia Artis event series is that we have developed a concept in which not only art and design play a role, but also “related” design industries such as furniture, property, cars and everything that has to do with design in any way. A kind of hybrid between a sales exhibition and a trade fair.” Mark Robinow

However, the word trade fair does not do justice to this exclusive event. The works of the artists, Johannes Weinsheimer, Anke Schaffelhuber, René Staudt and many more, are shown to their best advantage in the round hall – the location itself becomes art. Products and services become part of the curation and offer the visitor an immersive experience. Art for all the senses.

In a silent auction, bidders were able to purchase works by Francis Fullerton Smith and others for a good cause: a trip to Kenya with the Great Plains Foundation, whose founders Beverly and Derek Joubert are themselves enthusiastic photographers and very successful filmmakers. We also support NUWANDAS – an educational youth charity that inspires young people with an intercultural connection for empathy, tolerance and responsibility for one another through insights into their living environments with the aim of promoting a social, just and sustainable society.

The more than 160 visitors to the vernissage were enthusiastic about the concept.

Mark Robinow moves on with the idea and tours Europe with Ars Gratia Artis.
