The Chocolaterie also presents an extensive collection of chocolates and truffles, some of which are extraordinary, which are created in an open production environment.

A special highlight of the Chocolaterie bittersweet and edelweiss in Düsseldorf is the transparent production environment, which provides insights into the creation of the delicate delicacies. As soon as visitors enter, they are enveloped by the enticing smell of freshly baked tarts, roasted nuts and, of course, chocolate.

After successfully completing her training as a confectioner, Kathrin Lohaus passed the master craftsman’s examination to become a confectioner at the Cologne Chamber of Crafts. In 2014, she passionately founded the Chocolaterie bittersweet & edelweiss. The joy of always surprising customers with new chocolaty creations accompanies them to this day.

The recognition as “Düsseldorf Entrepreneur of the Year in the Skilled Trades 2017” convincingly proves that the chosen path is the right one.
