Behind Café Curve is David Behrens, a native of Sylt, who has returned to the island together with his partner Sarah after about ten years in Berlin. Both bring a wealth of experience from the restaurant and club scene, which made opening their own café an obvious decision. But what really makes this café special is the confidence to not conform to the usual norm and to make things quite the way they want to do it. This authenticity creates a unique atmosphere in which every guest feels comfortable.
The surroundings of the large barn, which also houses the family-run leather manufactory Sylt, give the café a special touch. Here, David’s brother Willi, together with his parents, makes fashion, accessories and more from leather, which is tanned in the traditional way with plants.
During the winter break from November, Café Curve offers a to-go service from Thursday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. You simply order at the coffee flap – then you can take the drinks with you. As soon as the season starts, Café Curve is ready from Thursday to Tuesday to serve a strong cappuccino, vitamin-rich smoothies with organic vegetables from the strawberry paradise, creative sandwiches and the much sought-after chocolate dream.
