1906 – 1946
On 1 October 1906, Emil Karfreitag founded a paint shop in Stuttgart’s Torstrasse. Forty years later, Karl Heim bought the company as well as its current location in Heusteigstraße. He soon handed over the management of the company to his son Günther Heim, who coined the brand name “FARBEN HEIM”, which is still valid today. In doing so, he laid the foundation for a family business that is still successful today.

1948
It’s hard to imagine: After the end of the war, barter became a major part of business life. For example, for one kilo of apples, there was a can of varnish. With the introduction of the DM in 1948, the economic rise of our company followed.

1975
Orange was the IN color of the 70s! Flower power was the order of the day – and the trendy van from FARBEN HEIM. With signal effect!

2007
Farben Heim is one of the top addresses for all things colour. In a prime location, in the middle of the city centre, customers have access to exclusively designed sales rooms with state-of-the-art electronic mixing technology and qualified specialist staff. Both the private home renovator and the commercial professional will find all the equipment for their needs here.

2020
After three successful generations, our wholesale specialist centre in Lehenstraße was transferred to Sommer on 01.10.2020. Since we have been working together collegially for many years, we couldn’t have asked for a better partner! We look forward to further successful cooperation.

2021
Over the past 20 years, we have intensified our cooperation with our Italian sales partners. We are one of the leading dealers of unique wall designs from Italy. Advice is very important to us. In addition to our very popular workshops for professionals – but also for beginners – we have also been offering on-site processing since this year!
