In one of the most idyllic places, with a breathtaking view of the lake and the surrounding mountain landscapes, you will find the Seehotel zur Post including the café and restaurant "Steg 1". This is centrally located in the town of Tegernsee and has a lakeside terrace and a spacious beer garden, which is open from May to October. Here you can enjoy a diverse selection of home-style cuisine with Bavarian specialties. Coffee and cake are also on the menu and invite you to linger in a unique atmosphere. In the beer garden, depending on the weather, there are various grilled dishes, Brettljausen and typical Bavarian delicacies.

The menu ranges from Bavarian grilled chicken and roast pork, grilled vegetables, prawns and sausages, to sausage salad and tarte flambée. All dishes are prepared exclusively from fresh local ingredients. To ensure quality and freshness, the dishes are created in the kitchen only after ordering. To ensure a quick and smooth service, each guest receives a signal transmitter that indicates when the food is ready for collection. Another special feature is that, according to the Bavarian Beer Garden Ordinance of 1812, guests are also allowed to bring their own snacks.
