The Forces of Nature Experience Centre on Sylt takes its visitors into the fascinating world of the North Frisian island. Here, everything revolves around the forces of nature that have shaped and continue to shape Sylt. The exhibition offers insights into the history of the island's origins, coastal protection, wildlife and plant diversity. Numerous interactive elements such as texts, films, hands-on exhibits and listening stations ensure that guests can lose track of time and immerse themselves in the world of the forces of nature.

A highlight is the 360-degree cinema “Syltdome”, which impresses visitors with fascinating nature shots in planetarium style. There is also an exhibition area on climate research in partnership with the Alfred Wegener Institute and an area that shows how animals and plants cope with the tides and forces of the North Sea. Particularly impressive is the possibility to observe seals in their natural environment via webcam.

The experience centre also offers natural history tours and has a bistro where visitors can relax and review the impressions of the exhibition. Here, in the forces of nature, guests can experience and understand Sylt’s unique nature up close.
