The Friedrich Weinbar in Düsseldorf's picturesque old town is the place for wine lovers and connoisseurs of exquisite cocktails alike. Wines from the Old World, especially from Germany, Italy, France and Austria, are served here. Names such as Eric Manz from Rheinhessen and the Bassermann-Jordan winery have accompanied the Friedrich brand from the very beginning. But the range is constantly being expanded with new names and exciting wines.

The concept of the Friedrich World of Enjoyment is already established and successful. Originally from Osnabrück, the Friedrich-Genusswelt offers a wine bar as well as a fine-dining restaurant, a daily food restaurant, a cooking school, a sushi restaurant and a wine shop. For Düsseldorf’s Friedrich Weinbar, the range has been expanded to include an exquisite selection of cocktails.

Behind the Friedrich Weinbar is host Kemal, who has opened a new chapter after many years in the Düsseldorf bar scene. The combination of wine, cocktails and a cozy atmosphere is at the heart of his work. In close cooperation with sommelier Sven Oetzel, Kemal is constantly developing the wine bar and the assortment.

Sven Oetzel, on the other hand, one of Germany’s most successful sommeliers, has said goodbye to the world of haute cuisine in order to build up his own wine concept in the Friedrich world of pleasure: high-quality, curious, individual – and understandable for everyone. The Friedrich Wine Bar also offers wine tastings for groups of 8 or more, where tasting notes are provided and service staff will guide you through the tasting under the guidance of host Kemal.
