As founder and representative of the Günter Fruhtrunk Society, Walter Storms looks after the artistic estate of Günter Fruhtrunk. He has also published the catalogue raisonné of the German painter’s oeuvre. His blue and white striped shopping bag for Aldi Nord is a real trademark. And then Walter Storms also runs his own book publishing company. He has created a wide range of prints and artist’s books with it.

The young, up-and-coming generation of artists is recruited from the academies of fine arts in Düsseldorf, Leipzig and Munich and from New York studios, whose active promotion is very important to the gallery, for example through the awarding of scholarships or donations to museums.
Walter Storms Galerie has participated in many art fairs around the world, including ARCO Madrid, Art Basel, Art Berlin, Art Chicago, Art Dubai, the Shanghai Art Fair and the Armory Show in New York. It has also been represented at Art Cologne for over 40 years. The gallery sees itself as a partner to the artists and therefore only works directly with them. It has set itself the task of presenting and promoting contemporary art.
The gallery has two locations in Munich and a large sculpture garden. The exhibition hall is 500 square metres in size and is located in Munich’s Kunstareal, one of the most important cultural locations in Europe. It is surrounded by numerous museums, galleries and art galleries. It was opened in 2009 with an exhibition by Sean Scully. The exhibition hall was built in 1925 according to plans by the well-known architect Max Littmann, whose work had a significant influence on the city of Munich.
