The award ceremony for Germany’s biggest audience award, presented by SuperIllu and MDR, took place in Leipzig in the 35th year of the fall of the Berlin Wall and for the 10th time in total. The live show on MDR television was presented this time as a duet by Barbara Schöneberger and Florian Silbereisen, who set off a veritable firework display of entertainment on stage with numerous stars, wonderful award winners and impressive people. David Garrett, Roland Kaiser, Peter Maffay, Max Giesinger, Kerstin Ott, Revolverheld, Silly and Karat, among others, provided many wonderful show acts for the anniversary of the Goldene Henne.
Appreciation from the fans is the greatest thing for the Goldene Henne award winners
Stefan Kobus, Editor-in-Chief of SuperIllu and Goldene Henne host: “I am delighted that the Goldene Henne is finally back where it belongs – on the big stage. Just in time for the 30th anniversary! We celebrated a gigantic party with 4,500 people – stars, guests of honour, award winners together with the audience in the hall, that’s unique, that’s the very special Henne feeling. In times when elections only make negative headlines, this public vote is a welcome exception.”
