For no less than 140 years, Gottfried Schätz - Der Hatter's hat shop has existed in Rosenstraße in the centre of Tegernsee. In the meantime, the fourth generation of the Schätz family is already running the business. Doris Gollé-Leidreiter, the daughter of Gottfried Schätz (who died in 2007), has been carrying on the traditional craft with great skill and creativity since 1996. In the workshop, traditional felt and velour hats are made in various shapes and shades. The craftsmanship quality of these hats is not only in great demand among private individuals, but also among various associations - far beyond the Tegernsee Valley.

In the Gottfried Schatz hat shop, customers will find a large selection of headwear. In addition to traditional felt and velour hats, many models are made in the in-house workshop. The quality of craftsmanship has the highest priority. Schatz hats are not only popular with private customers, but also with traditional and traditional costume clubs, which equip their members with handmade hats.
