The permanent exhibition “Regional History(s)” offers a comprehensive overview of the past, present and future of the German southwest. From the 18th to the 21st century, the exhibition takes visitors through the various eras and examines the political and social participation of the inhabitants of Baden and Württemberg. Numerous aspects such as economics, science, religion, immigration and emigration, as well as relations with neighbouring countries are examined.
The exhibition provides exciting insights into the history of the country. Visitors can learn about the past, present and future of Baden-Württemberg and discuss them in conversations. In addition, there are various creative ways to engage with regional history. The museum’s educators have developed special programs for the House of History and other locations where history is conveyed through original objects, films, sound recordings and photographs.
