The "Jazzbar Vogler" or the "Vogler" opened its doors on July 31, 1997 for lovers of live music and culture. The original idea may have seemed daring, because the founder had no previous experience in gastronomy and did not know a single musician. But this venture has developed into a true gem in Munich's cultural scene.

The Vogler is much more than a bar – it is a lively cultural living room that is operated without state or city subsidies. Here, guests can get up close and personal with national and international music greats as well as up-and-coming talents, a rarity at a time when live music in bars has become rare.

The musical variety in Vogler ranges from jazz to Latin to soul. Whether solo acts, big band formations or performances by world stars such as Gianni Basso, Randy Brecker and others – musical enjoyment is guaranteed.

But the Vogler is not just a stage for music. Readings, CD presentations, theme evenings and film screenings also take place here. A place where culture is celebrated in all its facets.
