The Kunstgießerei München looks back on over 100 years of history in the heart of Munich – in a traditional backyard building of a Munich apartment block, where the work continues almost unchanged to this day.
As soon as you enter the first room, the waxing room, you can feel the special atmosphere of the workshop. Here, art and craftsmanship merge into one.
The large, dark casting hall has a magic all of its own. As soon as casting begins, the deep orange glow of the melting furnace flares up, almost like a gateway to the underworld. The light-flooded chasing workshop with its window front provides an inspiring space in which many artists continue to work on their pieces directly on site.
Visit the art foundry and experience the impressive rooms up close. Enjoy a traditional Çay (tea) or combine your visit with one of our vernissages.
