The roots of the manufactory Lederwerkstatt Sylt go back to the 70s, when it all began with a sandal workshop in a Ford Transit. The vision was clear: to create something with your own hands, from a material that comes from the natural cycle. Here, leather is processed in the old way, tanned with plants – a true art. But the special thing about it is that no animal had to die for its leather. The meticulous workmanship honors the skin of these animals, because the Manufacture has close relationships with its tanners, who are true masters and sometimes even magicians with this precious raw material.
