The play of opposites – black and white, warm and cold, soft and hard, simple and complex – characterizes the building. The new, deliberately smooth and rather abstract design of the building forms a restrained architectural “frame” for the artworks integrated into the façade and ceiling. The Pontillo family is proud to cook in a place where Stuttgart’s history and Italian food culture can be viewed from a new perspective thanks to Rehberger’s art. Conviviality and good humour characterise the cuisine, as does the work of Tobias Rehberger, which brings the hidden past of the place to life. A visit to good Italian cuisine can be recommended without reservation, in addition to the impressive lighting design.
