The beginnings of the bakery date back to 1935, when Franz Meier’s great-grandparents founded the Stumböck bakery in Dürnbach. Since then, the bakery trade has been firmly anchored in the family tradition. Franz grew up in a bakery and was always sure that he wanted to be a baker himself.
After his apprenticeship and five years of professional experience as a master baker, he finally fulfilled his long-awaited dream in September 2020 with the show bakery at Tegernsee. There are many other people at work in the Meier bakery. Franz’s parents, Petra and Franz, support him both in the bakery and in sales. Together with other passionate bakers, this team forms the heart of Meier Bäck.
