In line with the latest update to the Diver 300M, the new watch moves away from the familiar ceramic design of recent years and instead draws inspiration from the Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition worn in the James Bond film No Time To Die.
The timepiece features the same domed sapphire crystal that gives it a vintage aesthetic, while the green aluminium dial is fitted with the same mesh bracelet as the Bond watch. The brushed mesh bracelet and brushed 42mm case are both made from grade 2 titanium, which is known for its light weight, corrosion resistance, biochemical inertness and ability to withstand extreme temperatures. For this reason, this material is often used in the aerospace industry. It is perfect for adventurous and sporting pursuits and offers a cloudy grey colour that best complements a brushed finish.
In fascinating contrast, OMEGA’s exclusive bronze gold is used for the bezel, the crown, the helium escape valve and the PVD bronze gold coating of the hands. This unique alloy has been designed to retain its natural patina over time without turning green due to oxidation of the layers. Not only does it offer a long-lasting, pale pink colour, it is also nickel-free, making it hypoallergenic, and iron-free, which improves magnetic resistance.
The combination of these two materials is complemented by the use of green aluminium. This applies to the dial with its blackened indices, which are filled with Vintage Super-LumiNova, and to the bezel ring made of anodised aluminium, whose diver’s scale is also made of Vintage Super-LumiNova. Inside the watch, visible through the sapphire crystal of the case back, the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806 guarantees the high standards of the Swiss industry in terms of precision, performance and magnetic resistance, as certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).
Customers can choose this model with a mesh strap or alternatively with an integrated green rubber strap with a folding clasp.
