The Pearly Gates in Frankfurt is not there to support its guests with top-notch service. Instead, it invites them to walk through the "Pearly Gates" and explore seventh heaven. Prohibition, which the bar team still views with a twinkle in their eye, was a legal illusion. Sigmund Freud quickly realized that this would not end well, drank gleefully with his mother and wrote: "There is no need to be curious about the outcome of this experiment." The experiment failed, and Pearly Gates continued to serve heavenly drinks in the bar with a revamped 1920s look.

Guests are encouraged to be lifted up and given space to their inner free spirit in the mahogany wood and lush greenery environment, which is surrounded by an industrial façade of glass and steel. There is no longer any need to whisper and drink in secret, hence the glass façade – and raise the glasses!

Anything is allowed here, unless the owners specifically forbid it. It is allowed to whisper, be silent or kiss passionately. On weekends, the DJs heat up just as much as the drinks at the bar. This is how the bar team guides the esteemed drinkers through the gates of heaven. There is more wine here than in church, the bar stools are more comfortable than all the office chairs, the service is faster than PayPal and best of all: in the end, no one has to clean up. That’s why the call goes out to celebrate the best parties at Pearly Gates in Frankfurt until no one can remember it. Even during Prohibition, people fought hard (and drank) for it.
