Pizza is one of those things. This is the pineapple. Can he do that? Cihan Anadologlu can definitely do everything. From a kebab with everything to Wagyu pizza.
At Pizza Studio, which he runs together with Florian Kopp, the name says it all and yet somehow everything is different. The concept is based on four pillars: pizza (of course), drinks (the really good ones), music (Italo disco) and art (currently graffiti).
The Pizza Studio should be a place to meet; a glass of wine, a slice of pizza or a really good drink – after all, Cihan was head bartender at Schumanns for a long time bartender at Schumanns for a long time and had his own bar , Circle by Cihan Anadologlu.
We take a seat at the chef’s table – what sounds elitist is actually pretty cool and emphasises the concept of coming together. A long counter in the centre of the room with a bar at the end. You can’t make a reservation here, but you can always find a seat and strike up a conversation. Because Cihan has a lot of stories to tell. About why he puts (fresh!) pickled pineapple with yuzu honey on his pizza or how he makes six different Negroni flavours himself in the cellar under the studio.
The Pizza Studio is cool in a casual way, a bit of Italo Disco 2.0 with depth and an eye for detail. Fabric covers from Hermés or the logo engraved in the ice cube. Plus unusual pizza combinations such as purple sweet potato or melted Valrohna chocolate with pistachio crunch. Sounds fancy. Tastes excellent.
