Now the time had come! Tiffany & Co. hosted a pre-opening event in Stuttgart's Dorotheen Quartier to get to know the New York jeweller's new design concept. With this store, Tiffany & Co. is emphasising the importance of Stuttgart and the metropolitan region for the company.

The façade in the typical Tiffany blue in the Dorotheenquartier was completed in time for the Christmas shopping season. A statement that is good for the DoQu and the whole city! Every single panel was handcrafted in Murano, as Joachim Fischer explains when welcoming us with a glass of Ruinard rosé champagne. The explanations continue in a colour scheme of harmonious beige and brown tones; the colour Tiffany blue sets subtle accents and is present throughout the shop.

Joachim Fischer, publisher and editor-in-chief of SELECTION magazine, enjoyed the discreet luxury of the premises and the beautiful evening together with many, mostly female, well-dressed and equally good-humoured guests: Managing Director Tiffany & Co. Northern Europe, Stanislas Kiabski, welcomed the guests and spoke personally about the iconic design of the Bird on a Rock brooch by Jean Schlumberger, first presented in 1965, which now adorns the exclusive wallpaper. Subtle murmur of voices, elegant ambience, illuminated by the renowned Viennese traditional house J. & L. Lobmeyer, which lends the store a luxurious ambience with a chandelier made of blue crystals. Lobmeyer originally designed the chandelier for the Metropolitan Opera at the Lincoln Centre in New York, where it was installed in the 1960s. Newly upholstered and covered classic German vintage cocktail chairs invite you to linger, while colour-coordinated bouquets of flowers round off the elegant ambience.

Tiffany & Co. has long been closely associated with the art world. In a nod to this, the Stuttgart store features works by artists such as Jan Kaláb from Prague, Zhang He from Montreal and Sho Shibuya from New York.

The jewellery pieces are presented in round, champagne-coloured showcases in the Stuttgart store. The pieces on display include iconic Tiffany & Co. designs, including jewellery from the Tiffany T, Tiffany HardWear, Tiffany Lock, Tiffany Victoria®, Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co.™ and Elsa Peretti® collections. Diamond jewellery is presented in a separate showcase. Modern engagement and wedding rings from the house can be discovered here – the interest of the young couples was palpable on this evening. And all of this was presented under the watchful eye of acting icon Audrey Hepburn, who, as probably the most important brand ambassador, had an eye on the “Pre-Opening at Tiffany’s” this time. It was lovely. And thank you for the invitation.
