Stuttgart’s Markthalle is a historic gem operated by Markt Stuttgart GmbH. This imposing Art Nouveau building was built according to the plans of the architect Prof. Martin Elsässer and inaugurated in January 1914. With its impressive construction of reinforced concrete girders and a majestic glass roof over the hall, the market hall is now a listed building. Over the years, it has become a widely known and appreciated landmark and has become a place for exquisite shopping for the people of Stuttgart. The market hall makes a significant contribution to the city’s economy and provides a solid livelihood for numerous commercial enterprises and service providers.
