Werkhallen Galerie Kampen

Braderuper Weg 2 in Kampen on Sylt is home to a thatched brick building that is both inviting and imposing. Flags with the lettering “WERKHALLEN OBERMANN // BURKHARD” are waving in the wind.

Through the expansive windows, visitors can already catch a glimpse of the artworks on display in the gallery: Bryan Adams’ striking portrait photographs, the aesthetic landscapes of Josef Hoflehner, Jimmy Nelson’s exhibits from his famously ethnographic photography projects on indigenous peoples, sculptures by Abraham David Christian, celebrity portraits by Martin Schoeller, and the opulent still lifes of Vera Mercer, just to name a few.
