Ceramics, glass and stone – these can all be part of a luxury kitchen. For this year 2023, the kitchen is increasingly becoming a luxury object. This is due in particular to selected materials such as noble solid wood, coloured glasses and extravagant natural stones, which are currently particularly in demand.

A new kitchen is beautiful, fun and brings great pleasure to cooking. And it’s undoubtedly a big investment. But it’s an investment that’s worth it. And so the trends in kitchen planning once again pick up on timelessness and extravagance in equal measure, linking the two terms to create stylish kitchen spaces. Today’s kitchens combine the cool functionalism of modernity and its clean lines with a luxurious aesthetic, in which kitchen cabinets and cooking islands – often with unobtrusive handle strips – alternate with softly curved shapes for adjacent dining tables and surrounding upholstered furniture. As in a lounge, muted shades of beige, white, black or anthracite are refined with delicate shades that give the kitchen space additional freshness and individuality. As can be seen at Poggenpohl, worktops made of natural stone several centimetres thick make impressive statements and stage spectacular contrasts with expressive wooden surfaces and filigree shelves. The possibilities of the combination are surprising and almost limitless. Whatever the choice, the personal composition makes every kitchen unique.

EDITOR’S PICK:

Planning a branded kitchen can be considered a worthwhile investment. A kitchen like the one from Poggenpohl is designed to last around 20 years and can significantly increase the value of a property thanks to high-quality materials, professional workmanship and brand recognition.
