At the age of eight she played the tenor flute, and at twelve she took drum lessons. After graduating from high school, Alegra studied international management with a focus on foreign languages and administration. But everything changed in 2008 when she won a Germany-wide DJ casting from among 2,000 applicants, which was organized by Radio Energy, among others. She learns the craft of DJing and the basics of mixing, “beat matching”, from scratch and takes private lessons with professional disc jockey Marc Caruso. This is how Alegra Cole develops her own style. She combines glamour, coolness and party atmosphere with a keen sense for the right beats. To this day, Alegra Cole DJs live at every event and works without a laptop, which sets her apart from many DJs and DJanes and which her long-time customers appreciate. Alegra Cole was also the first DJ in the world to play in Real Madrid’s VIP area, the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
When I’m in Stuttgart, my path leads me to the Heusteigviertel, to Zimt & Zucker by Kata. I particularly appreciate the freshly prepared, gluten-free dishes, but also the colorful and creative décor puts me in a good mood every time. I experience cultural delicacies every time in the Friedrichsbau Varieté. Whether sensual acrobatics, singing, magic or burlesque – the Friedrichsbau Varieté enchants me anew with every show. As a self-confessed Stuttgarter, I am very proud that Stage Entertainment with its wonderful musicals is at home here. Whether it’s Dance of the Vampires, Tina – the Musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame or Ghost: every musical takes us on a special journey and attracts people from all over the world to Stuttgart. I always like to look at great art at the Museum of Applied Arts. I was already allowed to DJ at an exclusive event there and was very impressed by the huge columned halls and the entire architecture.
Oh yes, my chill-out arena is the island of Capri. Whether Jennifer Lopez, Michael Jordan or Matthew McConaughey: Almost all Hollywood stars have celebrated in the Taverna Anema e Core and danced to the sounds of the in-house live band until late into the night. However, it is a bit difficult to get in without contacts in high season. I was lucky enough to be able to celebrate there with friends from Italy.
I enjoy good Italian food in Rome. Traditional home-style cuisine paired with a live comedy show – Cencio La Parolaccia has been around since the 1940s and was initially an insider tip among Romans and Italian celebrities. In the meantime, tourists from all over the world come to be insulted by the service staff over typical Roman carciofi alla Romana – artichokes fried in a pan. Because that’s part of the comedy show there.
