The jazzopen in the city center of Stuttgart offers a wide range of music styles, from exquisite jazz to hard rock to soulful soul and a unique techno-brass music mix. The festival thus maintains its reputation as one of the leading jazz festivals in Europe, which knows no musical boundaries. It always takes place in July and enlivens Stuttgart with its unmistakable sound.

Since its founding in 1994, jazzopen stuttgart has developed into one of Europe’s leading jazz and beyond festivals. With the motto “Be Jazz be Open”, the festival presents top-class artists from the international jazz, blues, soul and pop scene every year on 11 days and on 4 main stages – Schlossplatz, Altes Schloss, BIX Jazzclub and SpardaWelt Eventcenter. With around 50,000 visitors, it transforms the state capital into a hotspot for music fans.

In addition, the Jazzopen Stuttgart pays special attention to the promotion of young talents and musical education for children. A competition for young musicians offers young musicians the opportunity to present themselves to a larger audience. And with the “Jazz for Children” event, the youngest jazz fans will be offered an entertaining and educational experience. With its variety of musical styles, from jazz to blues to soul and pop, Jazzopen Stuttgart transforms the city into a unique musical oasis.
