The Arminiusmarkthalle, opened in December 1891, is a historic market hall in Berlin Mitte/Moabit. With its modern shopping centre, it contributed to the development of the up-and-coming commercial district. The hall was built according to the plans of the city planning council of Blankenstein within just over a year and offered space for 425 stands on 10 sales aisles, thanks to modern iron constructions with prefabricated building elements.
In 2010, the Arminiusmarkthalle was revitalized and now serves as a lively market hall that combines nostalgia and tradition with new ideas. Here you will find a wide range of fresh food, international handicrafts, cafés, bars, delicatessen, bakeries, fish shops, meat and sausage products, cheese, dairy products, fruit, vegetables, juices, ice cream, sweets, books, magazines, lotto and much more.
The Arminiusmarkthalle is not only a place for shopping, but also a lively place for activities and events. It is a place of cultural encounter and social coexistence. In addition, it offers temporary market stalls and is a versatile meeting place for the community in the neighborhood.
