Hulala is a neologism: “Hula” comes from Hawaiian and “oh là là” from French as an expression of an attitude to life that is characterized by sunshine and lightness. “This is linked to the belief in an environmentally friendly future,” explains Gunnar Lüttgau, one of the three Hulala founders. Each shirt of the 25 employees is emblazoned with a small palm tree.
Fans rotate on the ceiling, there are many (real) palm trees in the shop, the seating and wall decorations are made of light real wood, the lamps are in the shape of clouds, everything is kept in soft colors, the cast floor comes from Italy.
The menu includes burgers with chili and cheese, grilled corn, burgers, salads and fries, others with bacon and chicken. Lots of salads, refreshing drinks such as a watermelon drink or a non-alcoholic mango colada as well as desserts such as soft ice cream with salted caramel. The food and drinks are completely vegan, the pods for the burgers are made by the restaurateurs according to their own recipe, they are pea-based. With vegan burgers and drinks, a holiday feeling is guaranteed.
