“We believe that the home is the heart of society. A place where family, conviviality and joie de vivre are lived and where we draw strength. We help our guests to make their lives at home more beautiful and easier.” Andre Garcia, Managing Director of Kustermann.
With skilful presentation and trained staff, Kustermann makes shopping an experience and sees itself as a host: customers can look forward to around 700 product demonstrations a year, are invited to exclusive shopping events and have the opportunity to expand their culinary knowledge through special cooking and grilling courses at the event location.
In addition, the representative rooms with historic stucco ceilings and a view over the rooftops of the Viktualienmarkt, a generously landscaped outdoor terrace with barbecue area as well as an open event kitchen and a bar with lounge for events can be rented. The family-owned company knows how to combine all culinary aspects and offer a special portfolio of culinary delights.
“In addition to the selected assortment, which is selected by the purchasing department with a lot of expertise and passion, the quiet atmosphere, the cozy shop design with lots of wood and light as well as the inspiring advice of the sales team contribute to the success of the retail company, which is known far beyond the borders of Munich.
Kustermann also attracts its customers with its successful visual merchandising. Over the course of the year, Kustermann plays about twelve themes both in the displays and in the shop. These are based on trends and seasons, among other things. The theme, which is announced in the windows, then runs through the house, which comprises three floors and several mezzanine floors.” GIA jury statement for awarding the prize to Kustermann.
Kustermann also emphasizes how important his employees are to the company. Motivation, training and career opportunities are important aspects of the company’s philosophy, and long-term employment is the goal.
By winning the GIA at the national level, Kustermann has qualified for global competition. This means that in March 2024, the traditional retailer has the chance to be named one of the five best specialty stores in the world in Chicago.
