In the historic ‘Mittnachtbau’ in Stuttgart, a new jewellery concept shines that harmoniously combines tradition and modernity. Here, the focus is on the unique product experience. Light-flooded rooms flow organically through the floors and provide insights into the goldsmith’s workshop, where customers participate in the creation process of jewelry. This creates an inspiring meeting place.
Customers are greeted by a large-format, custom-made oak mosaic parquet floor and guided through the area by free-standing travertine steles. The well-thought-out lighting enhances the natural flow and creates an atmospheric atmosphere reminiscent of a starry night sky. The light floors and the walls finished with clay plaster form a successful contrast to dark walnut wall elements and furniture, creating a cosy atmosphere.
Various alcoves and retreat areas offer privacy amidst the openness. The design breaks with conventional notions of a jewelry store and creates a welcoming, open and inspiring space. All materials remain in their natural state to appeal to the senses – a sensory experience similar to the world of jewelry and timepieces.
Jury statement: The interior concept for Kutter x Patek Philippe Boutique impresses with a timelessly elegant and very high-quality design of clear shapes and structures as well as natural materials such as natural stone, wood and clay plaster. How the exclusive ambience refers to the past of the listed existing building through the tasteful integration of historical elements, without appearing old-fashioned, was excellently solved.
