The Mangfallblau is located in a picturesque location, embedded in nature: surrounded by forests and directly on the banks of the Mangfall, while at the same time the urban environment of the Gmund paper mill is nearby. Here, nature and factory atmosphere merge into a unique symbiosis of urbanity and inspiration. At Mangfallblau on Lake Tegernsee, visitors can enjoy a relaxed breakfast or a healthy lunch, with a varied selection of regional and vegetarian dishes.

The restaurant opened for the first time in the fall of 2018 and immediately impressed its guests. Although Gmund Papier has a history of almost 200 years, they have masterfully brought their paper mill and Mangfall blue into the 21st century. Traditional Bavarian interiors with wood panelling, carvings and rustic charm are not to be found here.

Instead, visitors will find urban factory charm that you wouldn’t have expected at Tegernsee. Exposed walls and concrete floors meet stylish wooden tables. But the absolute eye-catcher is the bright blue counter, behind which the new operators Helena and Philipp are busily whirling around.
