The Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart is the home of the automobile, which was invented in 1886 by Carl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler. Here, the history of the car is brought to life and the connection between technology and everyday life, between contemporary history and popular culture can be experienced. More than 160 vehicles of all kinds play the leading role.
The exhibition includes some of the oldest automobiles in history, legendary racing cars and research vehicles. Together with other exhibits, these vehicles form the heart of the permanent exhibition in twelve rooms with a total area of 16,500 square meters. The unique world of the Mercedes-Benz Museum can be explored on two tours that follow the narrative threads “Myth” and “Collection”.
