In the heart of Stuttgart is the Landesmuseum Württemberg, one of the largest cultural history museums in Germany. The museum, which is housed in the Old Castle, impresses as soon as you enter the magnificent arcaded courtyard.
The permanent collection of the Landesmuseum, entitled “Legendary Masterpieces. Cultural History(s) from Württemberg” takes visitors through seven epochs and over 80,000 years of cultural history. During the tour of the museum, visitors will discover historical treasures, ranging from the oldest works of art known to mankind to Celtic art, Roman treasures, sacred objects of the Middle Ages and the crown jewels of the kings of Württemberg.
