Craftsmanship in precision
With Poggenpohl, quality has a name that is based on the carpentry trade. What makes the difference is the combination of craftsmanship experience with new methods. An example of this is the ten-seam abrasive varnish technique, a processing method that enabled extraordinary lacquered surfaces and became world-famous as early as the 1930s. Today, carpentry expertise merges with state-of-the-art manufacturing technology. The production exclusively in Germany ensures the quality and distinctiveness of the kitchens.
One-of-a-kind pieces in the room
Walter Ludewig’s form 1000 kitchen system from 1950 exemplifies Poggenpohl’s architectural approach. His idea of flexibly using wall and base units mounted on the wall and thus making better use of the available space has shaped kitchen design to this day. Then, as now, people are at the centre of the planning when the architects at Poggenpohl develop tailor-made solutions for the individual ideas of their customers – and create the living heart of the house from the former kitchen workspace.
