The racecourse in Düsseldorf, located in the idyllic forest area on the Grafenberg, is undoubtedly one of the most impressive racecourses in Germany. Its unique and exclusive ambience as well as the unusual course layout with an Anberg make this facility something special. Düsseldorf has also developed into a premium racetrack in terms of sport and is increasingly in the international focus of horse racing. A total of five group races are now held here, including the renowned “Henkel – Preis der Diana” and the “German 1000 Guineas”.
Not only the sporting highlights, but also the gastronomic offer make the racecourse a special place. Visitors can indulge in burgers and fries as well as high-quality seasonal dishes in the champagne bar or in a box. The gastronomy is operated by the Düsseldorf-based family-owned company Münchhausen Catering, which focuses on regional products and sustainability. From Füchsen Alt to the Bennighoven farm garden with cakes and vegetables, you will find selected products and partners from the region here.
For a short break, the beer garden at the pavilion offers a relaxed atmosphere and a barbecue station. If you’re looking for something quick, you’ll find delicious crepes and potato pancakes at “Salty & Sweet”. Coffee lovers will find what they are looking for in the pavilion, where there are coffee specialties and homemade cakes from the Bennighoven farm garden. The tarte flambée house in the large grandstand exudes a tempting scent and lures you to the middle floor with tarte flambée. The brewery in the large grandstand offers comfortable seating and betting counters with large monitors, perfect for placing bets between races, even in bad weather.
The sparkling wine bar spoils you not only with sparkling wine or crémant, but also with matching appetizers. The listed gem from 1912 also houses a small gallery of black-and-white photographs of previous Derby winners. The waffle bakery at Absattelring is an institution at the Düsseldorf racecourse, popular with young and old for its waffles with or without topping.
For special occasions such as corporate events or private events, the grounds of the Grafenberg racecourse offer a unique atmosphere. From summer festivals with 150 people to music festivals or fairs with 15,000 visitors, the racecourse is the perfect place for unforgettable events. The experienced team is happy to assist with the planning and execution to ensure that every event is a complete success.
