The Stuttgart Ballet is one of the world’s leading ballet companies and has achieved international fame thanks to John Cranko. For more than 50 years, the Stuttgart Ballet has been delighting audiences in its permanent venues, the opera house, the Schauspielhaus and the Kammertheater Stuttgart, as well as in national and international performances.
The Stuttgart Opera House, built by Max Littmann between 1909 and 1912, once served as the “Royal Court Theatre”. In the first tier of the foyer, marble busts of renowned poets and composers can be admired, while an imposing ceiling painting extends in the auditorium.
