Since February 2015, it has been possible to enjoy the true French art of baking in Bahrenfelder Straße in Ottensen, Hamburg. The irresistible smell of freshly baked delicacies spreads in the surrounding area and attracts the inhabitants of Altona to the cozy pastry shop. Pierre and Nissa Ouvrard's pâtisserie not only impresses with fantastic delicacies such as croissants, brîoche, tartlets and macarons, but also with a charming décor that exudes typical French flair. Here, guests feel a little bit like they are in France.

It is often a challenge to find a good croissant based on the French model in Germany. But in the middle of Ottensen there is a small French pastry shop where guests can enjoy the finest French baking art every day. Pierre Ouvrard, a native Frenchman, produces croissants, brioche, macarons and tartlets of the highest quality.

A visit to the cosy café is worthwhile to try the wonderfully airy pastries. The baguettes and artisan breads are also made according to the original French recipe. No wonder, because Pierre completed his training as a pastry chef at the renowned École Gregoire Ferrandi in Paris. Out of love for his wife, he moved to Hamburg and opened Die Patisserie together with her a few years later. The secret of his delicious baked goods lies in the use of high-quality ingredients and his attention to detail.
