The Hesse Park is known for its old trees and leads hikers further to the impressive staircase district of Blankenese, which is connected by more than 5000 steps and requires many meters of altitude. After a stop at the Süllberg, one of Hamburg's highest elevations, the end of the walk offers a relaxed descent to the Elbe and the Strandweg. This delightful walking tour allows visitors to experience the beauty of Blankenese and the natural environment of the Elbe.

In Blankenese, a charming Elbe suburb of Hamburg, visitors can not only admire picturesque beaches and imposing villas, but also climb one of the highest elevations in the city. The walk through Blankenese starts at the Blankenese S-Bahn station and first leads through one of the district’s beautiful parks. Via Erik-Blumenfeld-Platz you reach Goßlers Park, which is dominated by an impressive mansion and today houses the Horst Janssen Library and the Hamburg Conservatory, among other things. The park leads to Blankeneser Landstraße and from there the path continues towards Hessepark and the famous Treppenviertel.
