Originally from the north of France, pastry chef Frédéric Vaucamps decided in the 80s to interpret his beloved dessert, the Merveilleux, in an innovative way. Due to its unique touch and the imparting of a wonderful lightness, his recipe quickly gained popularity. In 1997, he gave his shop in Lille the name of this legendary dessert: “Aux Merveilleux de Fred”. His version of the Merveilleux, as well as his cramiques and Flemish waffles, were well received.
