The roof terrace of the Humboldt Forum rises about 30 meters above the ground and opens up breathtaking views of Berlin’s landmarks, including Museum Island, the Brandenburg Gate and the Berlin Cathedral. This spacious terrace extends over 1800 square meters and is easily accessible by elevator. It offers a barrier-free tour with a view in all four directions.
This rooftop terrace is also home to the Baret restaurant, which offers contemporary cuisine with views over Berlin. During the day, the Baret Café transforms into a modern, unpretentious fine-dining restaurant with an extended menu with a small lunch, coffee and original cakes, and in the evening. The kitchen is characterized by its honest, imaginative and undogmatic approach. Chef Danny Benedettini combines carefully selected, regional ingredients with fish, meat or vegetarian/vegan options and reinterprets them again and again. The result is culinary surprises that redefine taste experiences in unexpected ways.
The Humboldt Forum, located in the historic center of Berlin, is a place of cultural and scientific exchange as well as encounters. Here, history and modernity merge into a unique experience. It is a place of diversity and the connection of differences, which brings people together and enriches them.
