In the gallery "Werkhallen" on Sylt, a fascinating mixture of sculpture, photography and modern painting merges into an exciting cocktail effect. The visitor is literally overwhelmed with artistic works in impressive size formats. The large room of the gallery impresses not only with its dimensions, but above all with the selected works of art by gallery owner Christiane Obermann. XXL formats dominate and create an intense sensory experience for the viewer. You won't find classical masterpieces here, but a wide range of contemporary styles and genres.

Braderuper Weg 2 in Kampen on Sylt is home to a thatched brick building that is both inviting and imposing. Flags with the lettering “WERKHALLEN OBERMANN // BURKHARD” are waving in the wind.

Through the expansive windows, visitors can already catch a glimpse of the artworks on display in the gallery: Bryan Adams’ striking portrait photographs, the aesthetic landscapes of Josef Hoflehner, Jimmy Nelson’s exhibits from his famously ethnographic photography projects on indigenous peoples, sculptures by Abraham David Christian, celebrity portraits by Martin Schoeller, and the opulent still lifes of Vera Mercer, just to name a few.
