Together with communication scientist Andrea Schoeller, Alexandra von Rehlingen founded the PR agency Schoeller & von Rehlingen in Munich and Hamburg. This is one of the leading agencies in Germany and serves national and international clients. Both Andrea Schoeller and Alexandra von Rehlingen are welcome guests at major events and are regularly caught in a flurry of camera flashes. But in addition to the glamorous appearances, there is also the other Alexandra von Rehlingen: not the tough businesswoman, but the mother of Fidelius, Antonia, Theresa and Donatus.

… And it is precisely this mother who also cares about our environment and thinks about the state of our society. And so she is aware that by giving up meat, she is not only strengthening animal welfare, but also advocating a different approach to animals and food – without sacrificing enjoyment and joy.

For her, it is inconceivable that there are still restaurants that have eternally yesterday’s torture products such as foie gras or frog legs on the menu. But fortunately, the number of vegan-oriented restaurants is also growing steadily. For example, the vegan food paradise in the “AN Vegan House” in Hamburg’s Mühlenkamp is outstanding. There is a huge selection of vegan dishes here. And there is also a place for friends and family to enjoy life together with vegan dishes in the Lange Reihe 93. Or the “Chay” – a vegan-Asian restaurant in the heart of Hamburg. Purely plant-based products such as vegetables, tofu and soy milk replace meat, fish and eggs and form the basis of the delicious vegan dishes. In addition to sushi and Asian snacks, there are selected long drinks. These are just a few tips that Alexandra von Rehlingen would like to pass on ad hoc. When asked about her favourite place in Hamburg, she answers: “Always on the Alster. It doesn’t get any better than that!”

One of her favorite international addresses is New York and there is the restaurant Eleven Madison Avenue. Daniel Humm, Chef de Cuisine and co-owner of the three-star restaurant, has been serving a purely plant-based menu since 2021: For the first time in the history of top gastronomy, the cooking is exclusively vegan. And that in the highest-ranking restaurant in the United States. Every evening, the restaurant is fully booked and a striking number of celebrities are its guests, Alexandra von Rehlingen has observed. This also shows that vegan is no longer just a trend, but is increasingly conquering star cuisine.
